Former Wakehurst Redbacks youth player Aiden Bariol hit a half century then a couple of twenties/thirties opening the batting to help NSW win the u16 National Titles in very warm conditions in Darwin recently.

His efforts were rewarded by his selection into the Australian u16 team. Congratulations and good luck Aiden !

Coaching

Sydney Cricket Coaching last season joined forces with Lyon Cricket to deliver expert coaching clinics in Regional NSW. After the success of these clinics, we have teamed up again and prepared an amazing Pre-Season program for the upcoming season.

The program, held at Narrabeen Sports High School, will begin on 9 August 2015 and continue for six(6) consecutive weeks.

This program has been specifically tailored to help players build on their technique, improve strength and fitness, and increase self belief and confidence. 

Sydney Cricket Coaching, along with Lyon Cricket are committed to preparing its players to achieve their goals for the upcoming season and would thoroughly recommend this program to you. We believe that you would gain a lot from the program and put you ahead of the pack.

Vale - Bob Lind 

Bob Lind, the Patron and one of the founders of the Wakehurst Redbacks Cricket Club, Life Member of both the Wakehurst Redbacks and the Manly-Warringah Junior Cricket Association, passed away on Monday 26th January. 

Bob's contribution to cricket at the Wakehurst Redbacks, the Junior Cricket Association and in the Manly area in general was enormous. Bob held the position of President at the Wakehurst Redbacks for 14 straight years from 87/88 to 00/01. He coached teams for many years, helped a large number of players achieve higher levels of cricket, assisted with getting the clubhouse built, founded the special achievement award, created the annual report and much more....  

On behalf of the Wakehurst Redbacks Cricket Club committee, we would like to extend our sympathies to Bob's family at this time.
