Stewart House Fundraiser
At the Wakehurst Redbacks Cricket Club we support two charities each year. On the 25th of October we will be asking for donations and raising funds for Stewart House in Curl Curl, and in February we will support the Jane McGrath Foundation with a Pinks Stumps Day Fundraiser.
You can support Stewart House on the 25th of October by:
- Donating second hand clothing. Collect Donations of New or Good Quality second hand clothing to suit 7-14 year old children. These children are from disadvantaged backgrounds, so clothing is always appreciated. Please bring them on game day and your team Manager will collect them.
- Purchasing a gift online. Whilst they are at the residential program, the kids participate in a rewards program where they accumulate points during their stay and can convert them to Books, Toys or Colouring Books for themselves or to take back to their siblings at home.
- Making a cash donation. It costs Stewart House around $2000 per child to participate in the 12-day program. We would like to raise $2000 to cover a child’s attendance at the program.

About Stewart House
As a community cricket club, this season the Wakehurst Redbacks will be supporting Stewart House through fundraising. Situated in Curl Curl, each year Stewart House supports 1,600 public school children in need from many parts of NSW and the ACT. During the 12 days stay, children are provided with dental, optometric, and medical treatment along with wellbeing support.
The club is hoping to organise fundraising events throughout the season to support this great organisation. If you able to help the club support this important organisation please do so.
